Keep It Secret, Keep It Safe

We want your personal information to remain private and for you to have the safest web browsing experience you can, on our site and others. The Payment Cardholder Industry (i.e. credit card companies) also has data security standards (PCI DSS) which everyone from merchants—that’s us!—to banks must comply with to ensure that your personal information and credit card data is handled securely from end-to-end. To ensure that is the case, the only correct solution for you—and all our other customers—and for us is to require a modern web browser to use our shopping cart and certain portions of our website.

Apple’s own Safari browser (which is included with OS X and iOS) is secure, fast, efficient, and has excellent integration features, but it is only kept up-to-date for the current & next previous version of OS X as well as the current version of iOS. Fortunately, there are other good alternatives which you can run on older & current versions of OS X (listed below by OS X version):

We’d also highly suggest that you consider running the newest versions of OS X and iOS as you can. Naturally, there are still phishing attempts, insecure websites, and malicious software that you’ll want to keep an eye out for, but by keeping your OS and browser up-to-date, you’re greatly reducing risks from invisible, undetectable theft of your information.
