Our consulting services have three tiers: Basic Level 1, Basic Level 2 and Advanced Consulting. Read on to find which one suits your needs.

Basic Consulting Level 1

Basic Consulting Level 1: $109.99 p/hour

Includes the following:

Initial computer installation
Set up 1-3 email accounts
Basic network for one machine (Set up Modem, DSL or Cable)
Basic software installations
Peripheral installation (Printer, scanner, External FireWire or USB hard drive)
Updating System software
Install RAM
Software updates
Basic software removal
Training for basic Mac applications (iLife, iWork, .Mac)
Training for basic computer skills (OS Navigation, Help Menu, Finder, System Preferences)

Purchase Basic Consulting Level 1 services.

Basic Consulting Level 2

Basic Consulting Level 2: $139.99 p/hour

Includes the following:

Network set up for multiple machines and wireless (Set up standard switches, hubs and routers, Modem, DSL or Cable)
Hardware installations (User installable parts e.g.: AP Cards, hard drives, video cards, processor upgrades, PCI Cards)
Install basic back up solutions (e.g.: Retrospect with an external drive)
Hard drive diagnostics and repair (Repair permissions, initialize drives, defrag.)
Virus protection and advanced software removal
Restore system software
Create multiple users accounts
Driver installations and updates

Purchase Basic Consulting Level 2 services.

Advanced Consulting

Advanced Consulting: $169.99 p/hour

Includes the following:

Complex networking solutions, network attached storage and complex back up solutions
Server and RAID installation
Video and Graphics workstations, software updates
Security set up
VPN
Advanced hardware installation (Non-user installable parts)
Data recovery and advanced hard drive repair
Install Windows XP (Or Vista) running Parallels or Boot Camp
Diagnosis and repair computer crashed, lock ups and freezes. Make recommendations of necessary upgrades to system
Business consulting (On-site consultation on how to improve work flow and improve tech resources)

Small Dog Electronics offers both Maintenance Contracts and Data Backup Plans to make consulting services for your business convenient and affordable.

IT Services

Silver Level

For customers whose monthly needs are 2-4 hours; pay $199.99 p/month, and get 2 free hours of on-site service. Subsequent consulting for that month is billed at 10% off regular price.

Contract includes:

2 free hours and subsequent consulting billed at 10% off
Detailed service reports
10% Off Back Up Services
10% Off Research Projects
10% Off Rentals
Free Loaner Equipment on computers purchased from Small Dog with AppleCare for the duration of the repair

Purchase Consulting Maintenance Contract—Silver Level.

Gold Level

For customers whose monthly needs are 3-5 hours; pay $299.99 p/month, and get 3 free hours of on-site service. Subsequent consulting for that month is billed at 15% off regular price.

Contract includes:

3 free hours and subsequent consulting billed at 15% off
Detailed service reports
15% Off Back Up Services
15% Off Research Projects
15% Off Rentals
Free Loaner Equipment on computers purchased from Small Dog with AppleCare for the duration of the repair

Purchase Consulting Maintenance Contract—Gold Level.

Platinum Level

For customers whose monthly needs are 5 or more hours each month; pay $499.99 p/month, and get 5 free hours of on-site and subsequent consulting for that month is billed at 20% off off regular price.

Contract includes:

5 free hours and subsequent consulting billed at 20% off
Detailed service reports
20% Off Back Up Services
20% Off Research Projects
20% Off Rentals

Additional Information

We charge $45.00 per hour for travel time. This fee is waived for travel within ten miles of either of our locations. Phone service available at a minimum of $54.99 for up to one half hour and billed at this rate in 15-minute increments beyond that.

Research on projects requested by the client are billed at the rate of $109.99 per hour, we bill a minimum of one half hour for research performed and 15 minute increments beyond that. There is a 1-hour minimum on all consulting calls.
