Apple Certified Mac Technician
This is an hourly position that reports to the Service Operations Manager.
Basic Description:
The right candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, as well as good critical thinking skills essential for troubleshooting hardware and software issues. In addition, strong communication and customer service skills and a team-oriented work ethic are principle components of this position. Good working, hands-on, knowledge of general IT concepts, basic laptop/desktop repair and software installation are essential.
This position is responsible for performing basic to advanced troubleshooting and repair of both desktop and laptop Macintosh systems including, but not limited to:
- Repairs of logicboard, LCD, hardware, keyboard, power and basic parts and software installation
- Requires use of excellent time management, multi-tasking, deductive reasoning, strong verbal and good written communication skills
- Work directly with customers and ensures an excellent customer experience, resolves complaints, and leads by example to provide optimum customer service
- Receiving and tracking of customer repairs in standard tracking software documentation program
- Checkin and checkout of service tickets
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues quickly, accurately, and in a friendly manner
- Occasionally perform customer consultations with direction from the Outside Sales and Consulting Manager
Qualifications/Requirements:
Requires an AS Degree in relevant field preferred with a minimum of 4 years technical experience working with computer hardware/software repair. BS degree in related field preferred. Previous bench tech experience strongly desired.
1-2 years previous experience servicing Mac/Apple products preferred. Current Apple certifications are a plus but not mandatory. We are willing to train the right individual and cover the expenses of certification.

Executive Assistant
This is a salaried position that reports directly to the CEO.
Basic Description:
The Executive Assistant is the first point of contact representing Small Dog Electronics and our Executive Leadership Team. In general, this position is primarily responsible for administrative and organizational support of the CEO, as well as assisting other Executive Team members within the office to ensure an effective and efficient operation.
Duties are highly confidential and require broad and comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s polices, procedures and practices. Responsibilities require discretion, judgment, tact, poise, and the ability to prioritize, prepare correspondence, and research highly confidential materials and issues.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 7-10 years in an administrative role with a high degree of responsibility.
- Advanced writing and communication skills required. Ability to handle confidential information.
- Must project a professional image at all times as the first point of contact for our Executive Team, be self motivated and able to handle multiple projects with minimal direction, and possess a high level of cultural awareness and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Must be proficient in use of computers: Basic hardware knowledge, intermediate to advanced knowledge of productivity and presentation software, email programs (Outlook, Mac Mail, etc.), and advanced ability to perform research via the internet.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS in field related to our business strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in retail business environment preferred.
- Apple/Mac product knowledge a plus. Advanced abilities in using MS Excel and Word highly desirable.

Purchaser
Qualifications/Requirements:
A successful candidate should have at least 2 years of purchasing experience in the computer or electronics industry with preference given to those with Apple Macintosh and iPod purchasing experience. This position will work with the retail store managers and warehouse and inventory personnel to manage proper stocking levels. Product evaluation, negotiation, and vendor interaction are all part of the daily workload.
BS degree in related field is preferred, along with 2-3 years previous experience purchasing or selling Mac/Apple products.

- Identifies retail partner sources for iPod returns, negotiate contracts, secure supplies
- Evaluate opportunities for private labeling of products
- Proactively negotiate supplies of Small Dog labeled products from vendors
- Maintain excellent vendor relationships

Assistant Store Manager
Requires a High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years Retail Experience. Must possess high level of cultural awareness and an entrepreneurial spirit.
AA/AS degree in field related to our business strongly preferred. 1–2 years previous supervisory experience. Previous experience in Electronics/Computer retail environment, Apple Product retail or service experience strongly preferred.
Assists the store manager with daily operations. Communicates and implements strategies to improve customer service, exceed sales goals, and increase profitability. Ensures an excellent customer experience, resolves complaints, and leads by example to provide optimum customer service.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Maintains store appearance and product presentation to Small Dog Electronics’ standards.
- Provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
- Assist Store Manager with effectively scheduling for optimum and efficient coverage of sales floor and service department.
- As directed, assist Store Manager to ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; current signage and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked and provides an interactive purchasing experience for the Small Dog
- Electronics Customer.
- Assist Store Manager in ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.
- Assist Store Manager in administering Corrective Action as needed in addressing issues within store.
- Train and develop sales and service team in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel. Lead Apple and other product training courses for Small Dog Electronics employees and customers.
- Lead and assist staff with regular inventory management and tracking.
