Retail Sales Associate

Location: S. Burlington, VT
Status: Full Time, Part-Time
Reports to: Retail Store Manager
BASIC DESCRIPTION:

We're seeking a friendly, dynamic Apple enthusiast to join our retail and phone sales staff. Availablitity on weekends is required for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

A fierce commitment to customer service, knowledge of and passion for Apple products, an understanding of the digital lifestyle, and keen attention to detail.

Strong writing skills are a must as we use email to correspond with customers daily, and Saturday availability and a flexible schedule are necessary.

All employees of Small Dog Electronics are expected to submit weekly reports on how their week has gone and what they have accomplished, to become and Apple Product Professional and to complete one day of community service per calendar year.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing workflow in a fast-paced retail environment, which also includes a full-service call center
  • Email correspondence and follow-up with customers
  • Article contributions to our monthly retail newsletter and blog
  • Providing the best customer service experience before, during and after the sale to strengthen customer loyalty we aim to be "always by your side"
  • Assisting customers over the phone with both questions on products and finalizing sales

Service Writer

Location: S. Burlington, VT
Status: Full Time
Reports to: Service Manager
BASIC DESCRIPTION:

We’re seeking the right person to join our service support team as a service writer in South Burlington at 100 Dorset St location. This is a critical role which helps to support both our retail and service departments in South Burlington.

Basic Requirements:

1-2 years previous experience customer service experience.

The right candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit - as well as good critical thinking skills essential for basic troubleshooting hardware and software issues, strong communication and customer service skills, a team-oriented work ethic, and obsession with the details. Good working, hands-on, knowledge of general IT concepts, basic laptop/desktop repair, software troubleshooting a plus.

Requires excellent time management, multitasking, deductive reasoning, strong verbal and written communication skills. Works directly with customers to ensures an excellent customer experience, resolves complaints, and leads by example to provide optimum customer service.

Daily responsibilities include:

Assisting with the check in and pick up process of computers for our repair department and general help with expediting repairs. A critical part of this role is acting as the main go to support person to keep the repair flows and processes moving smoothly. Helping to communicate with customers about the repair process as well as potentially providing in store lessons/consults.

Technician Opening Small Dog Electronics

Location: S. Burlington, VT

BASIC DESCRIPTION:

Small Dog Electronics is looking for the right person to join our service team as a technician! We are growing and are looking for s new team member in South Burlington!

Basic Requirements:

1 -- 2 years previous experience servicing Mac/Apple products preferred. Current Apple certifications are a plus but not mandatory. We are willing to train the right individual and cover the expenses of certification.

The right candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit - as well as good critical thinking skills essential for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, strong communication and customer service skills, a team-oriented work ethic, and obsession with the details. Good working, hands-on, knowledge of general IT concepts, basic laptop/desktop repair, software troubleshooting required.

This position is responsible for performing basic to advanced troubleshooting and repair of both desktop and laptop Macintosh systems manufactured generally in the past ten years.

Strong Windows experience is a plus. The successful candidate will be able to transfer customer data from Windows computers to Macintosh computers and integrate the data into Apple's suite of applications.

Requires excellent time management, multitasking, deductive reasoning, strong verbal and written communication skills.

This position works directly with customers and ensures an excellent customer experience, resolves complaints, and leads by example to provide optimum customer service.

Requires meticulous note taking and tracking of customer repairs in proprietary tracking software. Occasional check-in and check-out of service tickets and provide technical support on the phone.
