Kerry Westhelle Bio
Family: Husband Jim, amazing daughters Selena & Iggy, and wild son James. Also known as “The Fun Family” for the shenanigans we get into.
Pets: Hamilton (aka Fatty McFatFat), a three-legged pygmy hamster (don't ask), and 5 fish that refuse to die.
Hobbies/Interests: Cooking, reading, and running.
Collections: Vintage clothing. Love it and spend too much on it.
Places I’ve Been: All up and down the east coast, couple trips out west, and mostly avoided the midwest except for one eventful trip to Nebraska. And Jamaica. But the places I want to go? Too many to list...
Favorite Books: Written on the Body, Diary of a Mad Housewife, The Historian, Good Morning Midnight.
Favorite Music: Everything, really. Bluegrass, country, rap, grunge, pop... you name it, I have it in my iTunes library. Including an embarrassing Robin Thicke purchase.
Favorite TV Shows: 30 Rock, Family Guy, Mad Men, Bizarre Foods... I want to travel the world with Andrew Zimmern; he eats some crazy stuff.
Favorite Movies: Babette’s Feast, Harold & Maude, Pan’s Labyrinth, and anything with Katherine Hepburn or Cary Grant.
Favorite Food: Cheese; anything with cheese. And seafood.
Favorite Drink: Really good red wine or Farmhand Ale by Pioneer Brewing Company. If you’re ever in Sturbridge MA, check ‘em out. Or a caipirinha...if you ever have to go on a business trip, you want to have Rob Amon (Sales and Consulting Manager) along. 'Nuff said.
Home Computer: The oldest iBook G4 on the planet and a newer MacBook.
Favorite Apple Products: The old style shuffle; I'm not a fan of the controls on the headphone cable with the new model. Too heavy when you are running.
Favorite Sports Team: Uh, Red Sox. Is there any other team?
Favorite Quote(s): “We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”
“Whatever is contained in this moment, try to find some layer of enjoyment.”
“Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all.”
“I am the girl my mother warned me about.”
Life Ambition: To see and show my children the world, to raise them to appreciate how much there is to learn and to appreciate all our differences. To make a difference. And to someday sit on the porch and watch the sun set with my hubby....
