First, remember these are battery powered portable speakers. They are not high end speakers, and cannot possibly sound like high end stereo speakers. For their size, power requirements, and price, these speakers are excellent!
I used these speakers while driving a bus for three days, (the bus had no radio) connected to my 1st Generation iPod. Under the circumstances, these speakers sounded great! Highly recommened as a portable speaker.

The speakers seem to be decent quality for the price and extremely compact. Everything fits nicely into the pouch. Although it would be nice if the part the iPod actually sits on snapped to the speakers or somewhere when they were "cubed" so that you didn't have to have the pouch to keep it all neatly together.

The best thing about these speakers is that they are small! The Groove Cube folds up into a small rectangle about 4 times the thickness of my iPod. When unfolded, it is still compact and my ipod fits nicely into the small (detachable) plastic cradle at the base of the speakers. Since the iPod is upright, it's easy to change songs, much like changing stations on a car radio.

I've had my Groove Cube for about a month and use it to have music in the kitchen while my husband watches TV in the room with our stereo. Because it runs off batteries, I can carry it from room to room or outside onto the deck without missing having to stop the music. The only drawback I've found is that I forget to turn off the power switch to the speakers so the batteries don’t die- user error:-)

I was trying to decide between the groove cube and the similar MacAlly PodWave speakers. I’m glad I chose the Groove Cube. The sound has more depth, the batteries last almost twice as long (although they are AAA’s instead of AA’s), and it can get louder.

I got the Groove Cube because I travel a lot and wanted a set of small, lightweight iPod speakers to set up at night in my hotel room. It doesn’t take up too much space in my carry-on luggage and the set up with the detachable cradle is quick. It has proved rather durable, able to withstand being buried at the bottom of my bags and tossed around by luggage handlers. The sound isn’t as good as my larger, more expensive speakers at home, but it’s a great value for speakers at this price and size.
