I bought the Small Dog Car Tune transmitter and charger to play my iPod in rental cars when I travel. My
own car stereo has a mini plug auxiliary input and when I compare it with Car Tune, the sound is slightly
better. Nevertheless the convenience and compact design of the Car Tune make it a great product and the
sound quality is more than adequate.

I love this device! I took it on a car trip a couple of weeks ago and it was a breeze to use. I was even able to listen to my tunes via the iPod in the heart of Seattle. I thought I might lose the station once I hit the big city. I had previously purchased a fancier, more expensive version of this type of product and couldn't even get it to work. This one couldn't have been easier to set up and use, very straightforward. I came back from my trip praising it so highly my boss immediately bought one for herself.
The only caution I'd give is that if you are an audiophile, this might not do it for you. The sound was a little bit on the tinny side but was in an acceptable range for me. Also, I couldn't listen to some of my podcasts because the volume was too low. It occurs to me that there might be something I could have done in iTunes to adjust this but I don't know the technique.
Way to go Small Dog! Thanks for an excellent, affordable product.
