Overview

Seamless Multi-Touch Surface
Magic Mouse—with its low-profile design and seamless top shell—is so sleek and dramatically different, it brings a whole new feel to the way you get around on your Mac. You can’t help but marvel at its smooth, buttonless appearance. Then you touch it and instantly appreciate how good it feels in your hand. But it’s when you start using Magic Mouse that everything comes together.

The Multi-Touch area covers the top surface of Magic Mouse, and the mouse itself is the button. Scroll in any direction with one finger, swipe through web pages and photos with two, and click and double-click anywhere. Inside Magic Mouse is a chip that tells it exactly what you want to do. Which means Magic Mouse won’t confuse a scroll with a swipe. It even knows when you’re just resting your hand on it.

Features:

Laser-Tracking Engine
Magic Mouse uses powerful laser tracking that’s far more sensitive and responsive on more surfaces than traditional optical tracking. That means it tracks with precision on nearly every surface—whether it’s a table at your favorite cafe or the desk in your home office—without the need for a mousepad.

Wireless
Magic Mouse connects wirelessly to your Mac via Bluetooth, so there’s no wire or separate adapter to worry about. Pair Magic Mouse with your Bluetooth-enabled Mac and enjoy a reliable and secure connection up to 33 feet away. When you combine Magic Mouse with the Apple Wireless Keyboard, you create a workspace free of annoying cables.

And because Magic Mouse is wireless, it can venture beyond the confines of your desk. A quick flick of the on/off switch helps conserve battery power while Magic Mouse is tucked in your bag. Even when it’s on, Magic Mouse manages power efficiently, by detecting periods of inactivity automatically.

Make one great gesture after another.
Multi-Touch technology on the iPhone and iPod touch introduced a breakthrough way to interact with your content. Magic Mouse, with its Multi-Touch surface, does the same thing for your Mac. When you use gestures, it’s as if you’re touching what’s on your screen. For instance, swiping through web pages in Safari gives you the feeling of flicking through pages in a magazine. And scrolling with Magic Mouse isn’t your everyday scrolling. It supports momentum scrolling (similar to iPhone and iPod touch), where the scrolling speed is dictated by how fast or slowly you perform the gesture.

Innovative, elegant, easy to learn, yet full of features! I feel like the Magic Mouse is part of my hand when I'm doing work! It's making my life so much easier. It took a few days to get 100% use to it, but all of the shortcuts and finger movements make me even more productive! Great features: scrolling, zooming, and flipping between pages just by sliding your fingers - its awesome. I have read a few reviews where people said this mouse was "uncomfortable", I 100% disagree. I have Carpal Tunnel and this Magic Mouse doesn't bother me one bit! Loving my mouse!

I got a new 21.5" iMac that I just love. I was nervous about getting the Magic Mouse, as I have played around with it before - and thought it was too complicated. I seemed to always forget you don't have to have every feature turned on (you can pick and chose under "System Preferences" select "Mouse" and click what features you want to use). My favorite feature of the Magic Mouse is so lame and simple, but it's been able to scroll back and forward on Safari pages. It cuts back on having to go up to the top of the page and click forward or backward. I also love it for going through photos - it makes it easy to cruise through my photos. The Magic Mouse moves with ease - and really is not as intimidating as it seems. It took a day or two to get use to (in all honesty, at work I rock a mouse that looks like a race car, so my standards aren't too high!). The Magic Mouse is all it's cracked up to be an more. Cuts out wasted time and lets you take more control of your Mac! 10 out of 10!

By far the best Apple Mouse out there. I recently acquired a wired mouse and keyboard from my mom's old iMac when she went wireless and no use them on my laptop. The wired mouse from Apple has been driving me crazy. It's old and the scroll wheel doesn't work anymore. So I finally decided to upgrade and I couldn't be happier. The difference in phenomenal. I love the ability of the multi-touch gestures and the sleekness of it feels awesome. It feels like an extension of my hand. Well worth the extra money.

Beautiful design, great for internet and casual computing. Horrible for graphics work! I use photoshop, illustrator and sketchup all day... the tactile nature of a scroll wheel and the third button it provides is missing from this mouse. I find zooming horribly imprecise and certain common tasks in SketchUp and Google Earth are unaccessible without the third button. I've had to turn most of the magical features off. Otherwise, I love the form and feel of the mouse (except for zooming!).

I'm not sure why I waited so long to pick one of these up. I rely heavily on trackpad gestures with my MacBook Pro, but had been using a Mighty Mouse at work. Now, I can gesture with the mouse. There is no software to install, it paired right up, and it came with batteries. Perhaps my favorite feature is the seemingly perfect weight distribution, but the meaningful tactile and audible feedback when clicking is appreciated. If you notice this about the Magic Mouse, you'd probably like the Matias Tactile Pro keyboard....loud and clackety. Scrolling with momentum is one of my favorite features of the iPhone OS, and it's great to welcome it to MacOS X.
