This Mini Displayport adapter is ideal for anyone who is looking for an easy means of connecting their Mac to an HDTV. HDMI has become the industry standard for carrying both video and audio signal, and now Moshi has brought this simplicity to anyone using current generation Mac computers. (Keep in mind that this adaptor will only carry audio and video signals from Macs produced in 2010. It will only carry video for machines produced prior to that.) Assuming it fits your needs, this is a simple and elegant solution to getting your computer connected to the TV.

I plugged this into my 2010 MacBook Pro, connected an HDMI cable between it and my TV and after a brief refresh, my screen was mirrored onto my TV. No other set up is required! You can also set your output to extended desktop, which means that you can display different things on your laptop and TV. Just go to System Preferences>Displays and uncheck the mirror displays box. You can also arrange where the screens are in relation to each other so that, in my case, when I move the pointer out of the top right corner of my computer it appears on the bottom left corner of my TV. You can slide windows between screens just as easily. My laptop screen looks great, but for movies and shows there is nothing like watching it on a big flatscreen TV.
