Overview

The AirTurn BT-105 features a power switch, status indicator light, two 3.5mm (1/8 inch) jacks, and an internal rechargeable battery with a mini USB recharging port. Battery life will vary, but users can expect up to 100 hours of standby usage.

The BT-105 also features automatic Bluetooth pairing with the iPad for easy connections and fast page turns, as well as a built-in debounce filter to prevent multiple page turns for each foot switch press.

The AirTurn BT-105 can connect to a wide variety of momentary foot switches and pedals with 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch adapters.

The AirTurn BT-105 can be used with one foot switch to turn pages forwards only, or with two foot switches to turn forwards and backwards.

Each transmitter and receiver is paired with a unique ID, allowing for multiple BT-105 units to be used in the same space. Perfect for bands and large music ensembles.

Software Compatibility

Note: the BT-105 works as an external keyboard. This will cause the iPad’s virtual keyboard to be hidden while the BT-105 is in use. We are working on an upgrade to enable the iPad’s virtual keyboard to work together with the BT-105.)
The BT-105 can also be configured to work with programs running on Bluetooth-equipped Mac and PC computers that can accept Page Down and Page Up keyboard commands, such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Keynote, and most other document and presentation programs.

Please check out our list of Compatible Footswitches and Pedals below – these are the models that we’ve tried ourselves, so it’s not a comprehensive list covering every keyboard pedal/footswitch out there (not yet, anyways). We’ll update the list as we hear from our customers and get opportunities to test other models. Keep in mind that the quality of pedal and footswitches will vary pretty wildly between manufacturers. Some pedals we tested produce an extra ‘debounce’, resulting in two or more pages being turned with each pedal press – if that happens with your model, try using it with the MusicReader program – it has a nifty page turn timer built in, which can mitigate the ‘double-bounce’ effect from some pedals.
