The speaker system comes with a large down-firing ported subwoofer with an adjustable bass level. The audio spectrum of the satellites have been fully enhanced by incorporating Creative’s Dual Slot Enclosure (DSE), a design feature that produces louder mid-bass even in tight enclosures. In addition, with Creative’s Image Focusing Plate (IFP) design, which improves sonic directivity to listening areas, you get more focused music that is louder, and with increased mid-bass, while retaining tonal accuracy. I like these speakers. While the certainly won't deliver home stereo system quality, they are adequate for listening to music while using the computer. The subwoofer is remarkably robust, but the satellites could be a little warmer. My major gripe is that there is no grill or screen over the satellite drivers. One wrong move and you'll have a hole in the driver fabric. I've since noticed that other computer speakers do this too. Why, I don't know. To save a few cents of production cost?
