Family: Lola, Toby and Miles

Pets: Lola, black domestic short-hair queen of the roost, Toby, my black Lab pup and Miles, the newest feline!

Hobbies/Interests: With the amount of hobbies and interests I have I’m working towards a title of “Jill of All Trades.” To name a few, I enjoy playing and listening to a wide variety of music, cooking fresh organic yummy foods, practicing yoga, lifting weights, taking pictures and pretending to be a better painter than I really am. I’m also a Nationally Certified Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworker as well as a Reiki Practitioner and I’m fascinated with how the body functions and heals itself. Newer interests include my addiction to Wii Fit and Mario Kart.

Places I’ve Been: I took a few drastic moves from New York to Dallas to Boston and now up to Montpelier. I’m also pretty addicted to travel and some of my more interesting destinations have included South West India, Saint Maarten, Ireland and France.

Favorite Books: My favorite short story is “Teddy” by J.D. Salinger from his compilation “Nine Stories.” I also love most novels by Chuck Palahniuk (e.g. Fight Club, Invisible Monsters). On the lighter side, my favorite comics are Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side.

Favorite Music: This could get long! Some of my favorite include Leonard Cohen, Beirut, Postal Service, Radiohead, Elliot Smith, Modest Mouse, Flaming Lips, Velvet Underground, Pavement, The Beatles, M. Ward, Jens Lekman, Vetiver, Bob Marley, Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Nick Drake, Sufjan Stevens, Sondre Lerche, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, Stereolab, Iron and Wine, Belle and Sebastian, Stan Getz, Sonic Youth, Peter Bjorn and John, and Battles.

Favorite TV Shows: I don’t watch much TV, so some of my favorites are way outta date. That said: The Simpsons, House MD, Northern Exposure, Quantum Leap, The X-Files, Due South, Kung Faux, Ren and Stimpy, Conan O’Brien, Invader Zim, The Family Guy, South Park, Mr. Show, The Office, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Flight of the Conchords, My Name is Earl, Arrested Development.

Favorite Movies/Directors: This could also be a much longer list! Harold and Maude, Trainspotting, Pulp Fiction, High Fidelity, Up in Smoke, The Big Lebowski, The Matrix, Basquiat, Heathers, Velvet Goldmine, Princess Bride, HELP!, The Empire Strikes Back, Kill Bill 1&2, Desperado, Amelie, The Usual Suspects, Ichi the Killer, Garden State, Death Proof.

Favorite Food: I love food! Really, I love almost all of it! I especially love sushi, Thai, homemade anything, brie, peanut butter and ginger tofu.

Favorite Drink: Depends on the mood. I’m a fan of dirty gin martinis but I can also get down with a nice bottle of Shiraz or a decent tasty brew. On the non-alcoholic side I’m finding a new interest in kombucha.

Home Computer: Black 2.4GHz MacBook as a main machine and a 1.83GHz Mac mini that I use for an entertainment system.

Favorite Apple Products: The Newton! It was seriously underrated. I’m also completely in love with my iPhone 3GS and I miss my WallStreet PB something awful.

Favorite Thing About Working at Small Dog: The most obvious favorite part of my job is the ability to bring my dog to work with me. Even just having dogs at work is such a wonderful way to de-stress. On a more work-related note, I love the variety of people and businesses that I have the opportunity of working with every day. Helping people solve problems is fun and rewarding!
